Work in Progress
This is an ongoing project. I will be adding song categories, which will make it easier for you to find particular song genres. Sweet!
New Feature!
How to transpose to another key, to make it easier to sing and/or play.
This site is for students of the ukulele and other lovers of music.
First and foremost are the Songs, which have lyrics and ukulele chord diagrams of songs for both beginners and intermediate students. Tuning is GCEA, although many songs are also diagrammed for baritone tuning DGBE (click on "BAR"). In case some songs are not familiar, I have recorded simple melodies for learning many of them and playing along.
If you are just starting out, or would like to learn to play, Beginners can lead you in the right direction.
If you are already performing, please take advantage of my Medleys page which contains ideas for combining songs. I also have a Lyrics page where you can cut and paste song lyrics, to distribute for singalongs.
Beginners and intermediate players alike can benefit from chord exercises and explanations and examples of music theory on my Theory page.
Because I am committed to teaching others to enjoy playing and singing along with the ukulele, educators can contact me for Presentations to student assemblies and teacher Workshops.
If you are anywhere near Connecticut, come to the Glastonbury Ukulele Club, a monthly gathering of ukulele enthusiasts.
My two Performing Groups, the Glastonbury Ukulele Band and the Jim Rosokoff Trio, both feature the ukulele, and are available to entertain at upcoming events.
